Where to start when booking your road test...

Things can often get a little confusing when booking your road training, in-class training and road test. Where should you book the road test? When should you book the road test? What does it cost to do the road test?

Since January, 19th, 2008 all road tests are now done through your choice of any Alberta Registry office. Drivers training (in-car and in-class) are done with the driving school. The testing is booked separately with the registry. Please consult your driving instructor before you book your road test. There are often many helpful suggestions that we can share with you when preparing for your road test. For example; we often suggest completing 8 hours of your driving lessons and saving the last 2 hours for the same day as the road test (or same week). On the right side of this page are some helpful links to registry offices. Please remember to call around and conduct independent research.

Please be advised that in most cases our students find that the 10hr of driving is sufficient before taking the driving test. If you have absolutely no driving experience outside of drivers ed; you may be advised to take more driving lessons before going to your road test.
